CNN and Squatty Potty both fired Kathy Griffin a day after she posted a picture holding a bloody, severed (fake) head of Donald Trump.
CNN announced that Kathy Griffin would not appear on their New Years Eve special with Anderson Cooper, which she has hosted for almost a decade.

The step was somewhat surprising for CNN, a news network that has made Trump bashing its reason for existence.
Squatty Potty also ended their short-lived relationship with Griffin over the scandal. The specialty toilet device maker picked up Griffin as a spokeswoman earlier this year.
Squatty Potty manufactures a device designed to enable the user to defecate in a “squatting” position over a standard “sitting” toilet. They allege that there are health benefits to such a hassle.
The CEO of Squatty Potty revealed that a squatting toilet company can have core values and that Kathy Griffin violates them:
We were shocked and disappointed to learn about the image Ms. Griffin shared today. It was deeply inappropriate and runs contrary to the core values our company stands for. In response, Squatty Potty has suspended its ad campaign featuring Ms. Griffin. We have acted swiftly and decisively to demonstrate our commitment to a culture of decency, civility and tolerance.
Griffin released this apology video via Twitter shortly after the incident yesterday:
